AAP (Animal Advocacy and Protection) is recruiting for one of Europe’s most successful teams in the field of exotic animal welfare.
AAP is a European animal welfare organization with two specialized rescue centers in the Netherlands and Spain. AAP takes in exotic mammals in distress, rehabilitates them and outplaces to high-level partner zoos. The animals AAP takes in come from various European countries, many have been living in bad conditions as pets in private homes, have been used in circuses or other forms of entertainment or have been illegally traded. Since its founding in 1972, AAP has also taken in exotic animals from Germany. Germany is one of the biggest markets for exotic animals in Europe and due to lacking regulation in the country, AAP sees a lot of animal welfare problems, as well as risks for public health/safety, biodiversity and nature protection.
