Vacancy volunteer work: animal care (with housing)

Your role

You will work under the supervision of an experienced animal caretaker and will mainly focus on the cleaning activities in and around the animal houses (this is 60% of the daily work). In addition, you will make enrichment for the animals, help with the furnishing of the accommodation and with minor technical maintenance and assist in moving and catching animals. You will also help with reporting peculiarities regarding the animals’ nutrition, behavior and health.

What we ask

• You like to work hard and you have affinity with the objectives of AAP
• You are accurate and can work independently as well as in a ( fluctuating) team
• You work in an orderly and hygienic manner
• You have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English
• You are physically in good health
• You are from outside the Netherlands
• You do not have to be available for the full period but a minimum of 3 months is asked. ( starting earlier is not possible, starting later than the 1st of February is possible as is stopping before the 30st of August).
