Escaped from Death

October 2019. Ten tigers were found in far too small crates after they were taken from an Italian circus on a horror transport bound for Russia. Some animals didn’t even have food or drink.

One tiger did not survive, the rest were in bad shape. After a short recovery period at Poznan Zoo, five tigers were brought to AAP Primadomus for further recovery.

One of those tigers is Softi. Softi was in the worst shape mentally. She hid when she saw people and got distraught when it rained. Softi clearly has a violent past that has left its scars.

Expert care

We work daily to ensure Softi’s recovery. We do this by providing her with expert care from veterinarians, caregivers and behavior specialists. She also has access to a spacious indoor and outdoor area. In the meantime, she is doing a little better.

However, there is still a long way to go before Softi can leave her traumas behind her for good. We remain committed to her recovery. With us, Softi can finally be a real tiger again.

Costly care

The care of tiger Softi costs over €75 per day. These are costs for food, vitamins, accommodation and medical care, among other things.

About AAP

AAP not only takes in exotic mammals in need, but also concerns itself with laws and regulations. For example, we advocate for a ban on wild animals in entertainment. Only by tackling the problem at its roots will animals like the tiger Softi no longer end up in appalling situations.
