Tiger Kyra has now been staying at our rescue centre in Spain for several years. In 2016, she was rescued from a small enclosure with a cold concrete floor, where she had been locked up by her owner. Because Kyra had too little space to move around in her early years, she now limps.
Limited space to move around
Kyra’s early years were not easy. She was born in a Spanish circus, where she was confined to a small space and was even kept in a cardboard box. A private individual bought her from the circus when she was just five months old. There, she ended up once again in a small, bare cage. Eventually, in 2016, the Kyra was seized by the Spanish authorities and we were able to bring her to AAP Spain.
Chronically lame
Due to an old fracture she sustained in the past, Kyra is chronically lame. Despite this, she does not seem to be bothered by it and can walk around her enclosure at our rescue centre in Spain without pain. In fact, Kyra is actually very active!
